CONEBI is in charge of representing the EU Bicycle Industry

  • at the meetings of the Motorcycle Working Group organized by the European Commission DG Grow
  • at the Technical Committee 333 ‘Cycles’ within CEN, the European Committee for Normalisation;
  • at the Working Party on Passive safety of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (with a status of Observer)


EU Trade Policy

Trade issues: CONEBI is currently monitoring

  • the ongoing negotiations regarding the Environmental Goods Agreement (EGA);
  • the situation of counterfeit products in the EU Market


EU Transport Policy

Transport & Mobility:
In full respect of the subsidiarity principle, CONEBI advocates together with its national Members for sustainable urban planning that includes more and safe Cycling infrastructures.



Market & Industry figures:
CONEBI publishes every year the so-called EU BIMP (EU Bicycle Industry & Market Profile), which gives stakeholders an overview about production, sales and employment figures


International Shows

CONEBI pavilions at International Shows
To take away the burden of the practical organisation of a participation in an International Show, CONEBI brings together EU companies under the CONEBI pavilion to promote European companies and their products. CONEBI is currently present at two International Shows:
  • Taipei Cycle Show (Taiwan)
  • Asia Bike Trade Show (China)
