Strasbourg, 13th February 2019 – It is official: the European Parliament in its plenary session in Strasbourg voted in favour of the exclusion of e-bikes from the scope of a mandatory motor-vehicle insurance. A decision that confirms the one taken some weeks ago by the Consumer Affairs’ Committee. The last step in this process is to have the Council to support the European Parliament’s position. CONEBI and its advocacy partners will reach out to it and continue the work that has been done since the European Commission’s proposal.
